Our new physical distancing compliant lobby seating

Gordon, myself and the entire Milestone Casting Studio team hope you are all safe and healthy. It has been a challenging spring and we hope that you are all healthy and still reasonably sane.  We are eager to move forward and have made some significant changes to the studio, waiting areas and auditioning protocols.  We believe these adjustments to be pro-active and take into account the safety and health of our staff, the actors, casting and clients.

We hope you all have been making it through your isolation experiences in a happy and healthy manner and look forward to getting back to business in a comfortable and safe environment for all of us. With that in mind we have made a number of adjustments moving forward.

Chris Miles and the Milestone team

Lobby Protocols

  • Actors must wear masks while waiting in the lobby. We will have masks on hand to provide should an actor arrive without one.
  • All staff are required to wear masks while on site.
  • Lobby seating has been significantly reduced and configured to allow for proper physical distancing.
  • Milestone is still the largest capacity casting studio in Toronto. We have adjusted our waiting areas to accommodate all studios to be allowing for a limited  number of actors admitted in the lobby at any one time.
  • Hand sanitizer is provided in lobby and all surfaces wiped down throughout the day
  • Actors are asked to bring their own pens to prevent possible virus spread.
  • One parent or guardian allowed per child to relieve lobby stress

Casting Protocols

  • All sessions are to be timed to allow a minimum of actors required to wait. Casting lists are to be forwarded to Milestone prior to the session. Also included must be a list of those, aside from casting, who will be in attendance.
  • All streaming formats are available for remote casting
  • The number of producer(s), director and in the case of commercials, agency will be limited in the studio.

Newly Renovated Washrooms!

  • Our washrooms have been newly renovated with touchless faucets and hand dryers
  • All surfaces will be wiped down by staff throughout the day.
  • There are 3 separate stalls in the women's and 2 stalls plus a urinal in the men's washrooms giving all patrons a barrier between them during use.
  • Use of washrooms will decrease due to the low wait times for actors attending their auditions.
